► Description

Protecto-AutoKare is a revolutionary two component (2K) clear polyurethane system that has been developed and perfected by our R & D department to give total protection to automobile paint. It gives the painted automobile surface a superb, high gloss finish that will last for several years. The paint will also have increased protection from scratches and the harmful effects of environmental pollution. Dull and faded looking paint on old automobiles look rich and vibrant after application of Protecto-AutoKare.

● HIGH SCRATCH RESISTANCE

Protecto-AutoKare gives a hard, tough, scratch & wear resistant layer which protects the paint surface. 

       ● FAST DRYING

Protecto-AutoKare is extremely fast drying and dries within 10 to 15 minutes. This prevents dust from settling down on it and spoiling the finish.

       ● SUPERB FINISH

       Protecto-AutoKare enhances the beauty of the paint and gives it a rich glossy look.

       ● EXCELLENT WATER AND CHEMICAL RESISTANCE

Protecto-AutoKare prevents the paint from being damaged due to exposure to water. It also shows excellent resistance to many dilute acids, alkalies and oils.

       ● HIGH STAIN RESISTANCE

       Protecto-AutoKare does not get stained by dirt, oil and mud and retains its gloss for a long period.

● HIGH HEAT, WEATHER & UV RESISTANCE

Protecto-AutoKare has excellent resistance to heat and is not affected by changes in weather conditions. It has unmatched UV resistance.

● LONG LIFE

Protecto-AutoKare preserves the paint and keeps it looking fresh and vibrant for several years.

► Application

Protecto-AutoKare is a two pack system in which both components are mixed thoroughly before applying. Mixing ratio is 1:4 by volume. Add any suitable thinner such as ‘ProtectoCoat – Thinner102’ to bring the viscosity down. Apply two / three coats of Protecto-AutoKare by spraying (at 1.8  kg/sq. cm. pressure) keeping a gap of around 4 -5 hours between coats.  Allow the final coat to dry thoroughly. Full scratch hardness is achieved after 4 days.

Spirit or alcoholic solvents should not be used as thinners for Protecto-AutoKare. We recommend ‘ProtectoCoat - Thinner 102’ if you wish to thin Protecto-AutoKare. To avoid whiteness and dull appearance of coatings, ensure that the compressor is drained completely and the compressed air is free of moisture.

► Storage and Precautions

Protecto-AutoKare should be stored in a cool, dry and spark free area. It can be stored for 6 months in its original, unopened container. As far as possible, all the material from the container should be used up once the container is opened. To store unused Protecto-AutoKare, transfer it to a small airtight and impurity-free container leaving no air gap on top. While handling, all contact with eyes, skin, and clothes should be avoided. Implements used for application of Protecto-AutoKare should be cleaned with ‘ProtectoCoating - Thinner 102’ or NC thinner.
