► DESCRIPTION:

Protecto-Ezecoat WB is a single component, water based, high solids, Polyurethane based coating system that provides tough, elastic, UV resistant, skid resistant, durable, heat insulating, abrasion resistant, waterproofing protection for terraces, roofs, bathrooms, toilets, concrete screeds, etc. It forms a thick, seamless and long lasting film and eliminates water seepage from all kinds of surfaces. If required, a reinforcing cloth/fibre mesh can be sandwiched between the layers.

► APPLICATION:

Surface Preparation:

The surface is cleaned dried and freed from dust, oil, grease, tar and fungus. Damaged or hollow portions of the substrate should be suitably repaired before application. A base coat of dilute Protecto-Ezecoat WB primer (2 parts Protecto-Ezecoat WB primer + 1part water) is applied on all cracks after opening and cleaning them up. Allow the primer to dry. For cracks below 2mm width, pour Protecto-Ezecoat WB into the crack and allow it to dry.  Ezefil polyurethane joint/crack filling compound is used to fill up joints and cracks above 2mm.

Primer/Base Coat:

Dilute Protecto-Ezecoat WB primer (2 parts Protecto-Ezecoat WB primer + 1part water). It is then applied by brush / roller over the entire surface area and allowed to dry for 2-3 hours.

Top Coat 1, 2 and 3:

1. The first coat of Protecto-Ezecoat WB (without any dilution) is applied by brush /roller / trowel over the primer coat at a coverage rate of 2 sq. m per litre. Allow the material to dry completely (5-8 hours).

2. Apply the second coat in the same manner but perpendicular to the first coat.

3. After drying, apply the third coat perpendicular to the second coat at the same coverage rate.

For moving cracks, sandwich non woven Polyester fabric (40 gsm) between the first and second coats. Place the fabric when the first coat is still wet and apply the second coat after the first coat dries. Allow the system to dry thoroughly for at least three days. Use the surface for foot traffic only.

Protecto-Ezecoat WB is available in four colours – white, grey, terracotta and green. We recommend that different colours be used for alternate coats to give an easy way to check the number of coats applied and the thickness achieved per coat.

Note: Dry sand is sprinkled on the final coat (while it is still wet) if any tiles or a concrete layer is required on top of the coating.

► STORAGE & PRECAUTIONS

Store the Protecto-Ezecoat WB pails in a cool and dry place. The shelf life of Protecto-Ezecoat WB is 12 months from the date of manufacture in an unopened condition. Application should be carried out between 8ºC and 40ºC.    In case of:

Skin Contact: Wash skin with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothes.

Eye contact: Immediately splash eyes with plenty of water. Consult Physician if irritation persists.

Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a doctor.
